This unique beach park occupies a narrow sand spit between the Pacific Ocean and San Diego Bay, offering both ocean and bay access. The Silver Strand connects Coronado to Imperial Beach. The ocean side features wide sandy beaches great for swimming and surfing, while the calm bay side is perfect for families with young children, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. RV camping is available year-round. The strand is popular with cyclists on the Bayshore Bikeway, and military jets from nearby North Island create a constant spectacle overhead.
