Ancient redwood groves rise from the San Lorenzo River valley near Santa Cruz. The Redwood Grove Loop Trail is a wheelchair-accessible walk among 1,500-year-old giants up to 285 feet tall. Beyond the main grove, 20 miles of trails explore diverse habitats including oak woodlands, chaparral, and sandhills with rare endemic species. The park offers excellent mountain biking and the historic Felton covered bridge. A perfect introduction to redwoods, close to the coast.
