Auburn State Recreation Area

Auburn SRA encompasses 42 miles of the American River canyon in the Sierra Nevada foothills, offering some of the best whitewater rafting, mountain biking, and trail running in Northern California. The river forks create varied terrain from gentle swimming holes to challenging class-IV rapids. The 100-mile Western States Trail passes through the canyon.
