Burney Falls, called "the Eighth Wonder of the World" by Teddy Roosevelt, cascades 129 feet year-round with 100 million gallons flowing daily. Water emerges from the porous volcanic rock above and behind the falls, creating a curtain of mist and rainbows. The falls never diminish, fed by underground springs. A short accessible trail leads to the falls, with a loop trail offering multiple viewpoints. Lake Britton provides fishing and swimming. One of California's most beautiful waterfalls in a volcanic landscape.
