Big Sur's largest state park offers 4,800 acres of wilderness where the Santa Lucia Mountains meet the Pacific. The gentle Big Sur River flows through meadows before reaching a pristine beach. Twenty miles of trails wind through redwood groves, across ridges with spectacular coastal views, and to hidden beaches. This is Big Sur without the crowds - peaceful hiking, beach camping, and some of the coast's most dramatic scenery. Spring wildflowers transform the meadows into a palette of colors.
